Kelvin Beachum, Jr. is born in Mexia, TX

















Kelvin arrives at Southern Methodist University, where he goes on to start 52 consecutive games, earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and deliver the commencement address at graduation.


Kelvin was selected in the seventh round (248th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2012 NFL Draft. While with the Steelers, he appeared in 44 games with 39 starts.

In 2013, Kelvin married fellow Texan Jessica.

Kelvin and Jessica welcome their first child, daughter Kalena, in 2014.

In 2016, Kelvin joins the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting 15 games at left tackle.

The legacy continues: The Beachums become a family of four with the birth of their son, Kelvin Beachum III (AKA K3) in 2017.

The newest addition to the Beachum family is baby daughter Janelle, born in 2019.

In July 2020, Kelvin signs with the Arizona Cardinals.

In December 2021, Kelvin is announced as the Arizona Cardinals nominee for Walter Payton Man of the Year, following his 2018 nomination.


Beachum is a professional speaker in both the university and corporate markets. With outstanding interactive programs in Effective Leadership and Diversity/Inclusion, Beachum does both training programs and keynotes that powerfully engage audiences.
